Teagueduino + Mario + Box = Video Game in a box

"Using a Teagueduino and a few inputs and outputs, we put together a physical side-scrolling video game. To control it, there's a knob on the side. As time advances the game gets faster and faster -- can you avoid all the obstacles and make it to the end?

Watch the second half of the video for an overview of how everything is hooked up."

CIID + Toyota = Window to the World

"Imagine when a journey from A to B is no longer routine as your car in the near-future encourages a sense of play, exploration and learning. This is the image engineers and designers from Toyota Motor Europe (TME) and the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) had of Toyota’s “Window to the World” vehicle concept.

The concept re-defines the relationship between passengers in a vehicle and the world around it by transforming the vehicle’s windows into an interactive interface. Using augmented reality, what used to be a pane of glass, begins to provide passengers with information about landmarks and other objects as they go past. The window can also be used as a canvas for drawings, which then interacts with the passing environment."

Ripley's Water it or Not!

Project wrapped up for Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum in Orlando FL.
A front projected interactive wall built in Openframeworks. Users interact with digital water by touching the wall and applying different magnets to the wall. When the magnets are oriented correctly and water is added, each reacts in their own way.
Users also use real world valve controls to increase or reduce the flow of water, which is done using an Arduino microcontroller.

Cigarettes + Synth = Ziggybox

At first glance, Ziggybox looks like an everyday item for smokers, which one could easily find in a living room. However, it is a synthesizer that generates and modulates sounds by placing cigarettes in the notch of an ashtray or by opening a box of cigarettes.

Projection Mapping + Animals

"Sober Industries and Studio Rewind took the Tiger mapping project to another level. For the 'Rotterdamse Museumnacht2011' we build 2 large sculptures. Both sculptures were projected with mapped visuals. New in this project was the interactive part. The spectators were able to control the visuals projected by a custom made cubicle with motion sensors and buttons. By tilting the cubicle the color of the visuals changed and the buttons were used to skip through the visuals and to create other effects like blending and scratching. The sculptures are made entirely out of wood and can be disassembled to smaller pieces which are more easy to transport."
